This Sunday, as part of the Hi Seoul Festival, the city government will be hosting the Seoul Friendship Fair in the downtown city area, at Seoul Plaza (in front of City Hall) and nearby Mugyo-dong-gil. This looks like a fun and interesting event, with a lot to do, see and try.

The theme of the fair is international friendship, and there will be a wide range of nationalities represented at the fair. There will be 15 countries participating in performances, and there will be food stalls representing 60 countries, so this is a good chance to try some food you have perhaps never tried before. There is also the opportunity to try on national costumes from around the world.

The Fair runs from 10am to 7pm, but we will be meeting at 11am, since the first round of performances starts at 11.

As well as the Fair, you might be interested in the Seoul Information Fair which will be held around there on the same day, so it might be a good opportunity to take a look at that and pick up some useful information. It runs from 10am~5pm, and around 60 businesses and services will be taking part, offering information on all kinds of things related to living in Seoul.

"for now"? That sounds like a threat Mike! Now don't make threats you aren't prepared to back up with action...

I hear good things about this festival, several co-workers are going to go! I wish I could be there myself, but I have to get ready as my time here is coming to a close **for now**. Look forward to attending next year, though!

Everyone, there is also another Hi Seoul Festival event on Sunday afternoon at Kyeongbok Palace. The event is "A Story About King Kojeong" and it appears to be some kind of costumed re-enactment. It's scheduled for 4~5.30pm. Perhaps if members are interested, we could go over there (it's not that far from City Hall) and check that out. Anyway, for those of you who aren't coming on Sunday to the Friendship Fair, you might like to check out this other event.
