I'm coming to Glasgow to take part in the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, March 18-23. First time in the city, would love to catch up with any ex-pats like yourself. I've got a solo show on March 21 at Brel and would really love your support and feedback and any ability you have to spread the word about it. It focuses on American politics and culture, so might be a nice touch of "home."
Details are below. Drop me a line for more info.

Jeff Kreisler's Comedy Against Evil
Brel ? Ashton Lane, Glasgow G12 8SJ
Price: £7/ £6 conc
Time: 21.00 ? 21/3/08
Box Office: 0870 013 5464 ? http://www.brelbarres... ? http://www.glasgowcom...

Jeff Kreisler - winner of the Bill Hicks Spirit Award, writer for Comedy Central's Indecision2008, and author of Harper Collins' "Get Rich Cheating" - dissects American politics and culture with passion, absurdity, and hope.

"An hour of excellent comedy... Jeff Kreisler does clever, well-presented political stuff..." - The Scotsman
"Kreisler tore into politics, race and religion in a similar style to Hicks, but with his own personal slant and some very acute and funny observations? probably one of the best comedy shows at the Fringe..." - Fresh Air at the (Edinburgh) Festival
"Kreisler changes the pace a bit with a slightly demented, extremely animated set that attacks everything..." - San Francisco Chronicle
"A welcome reminder of a time when comedy cut a lot closer to the issues of the day than most comics now dare." - Dallas Morning News
"A highlight." - The New York Times
"The highlight of this all-American evening was final act Kreisler, who, with slow, dry rigour, pulled apart America..." - ThreeWeeks
"Jeff Kreisler and his Comedy Against Evil show were amazing. Jeff's act was thought provoking, edgy, and quite hilarious." - Georgetown University

Jeff,

I think we have 6 marked as 'yes' thus far from three different Meetup groups (american/comedy/new in town) and hopefully some of the 'maybes' will show up as well.

I'm glad to see that you have marked 'yes' to attend as well. I suppose that was a given. tongue

See ya there,

K
