Welcome, Expat Americans!

Greetings, Yanks!!

This volunteer-run group serves to organize events for Americans in Sydney. You may be here for short time, or permanently. We don't want you to miss out on things from "back home," but we'll also help you get the best out of your stay in Sydney. (Psst - there's more to it than Bondi Beach and the Harbour Bridge Climb!)

It is always fun meeting others who share something in common.

Due to the massive numbers and different types of events that people like, I'm looking for Assistant Organizers for the following categories:
- Spectator Sports (trips to Aussie spectator sports, MNF, Super Bowl Party, etc)
- Recreation (like our touch football and softball games, surfing, volleyball, picnics)
- Family Friendly (I know you're out there! Step up and organize these!)
- Arts & History (Are you the one who knows all the museums and cool stuff around Sydney?)
- Wine & Food (Looking for diversity of the food that Sydney has to offer?)
- Festival Watch (Festivals are a great way to get to know Sydney and are easy to organise)
- Music & Dance (Do you arrange your holidays by where your favorite bands is playing? This is for you!)

Some of the things we've done in the past:
- Monday Night Football/ Super Bowl Party
- Tuesday Tacos y Tequila Night at Flying Fajita Sistas
- 10th Massive Combined Salsa Party at Vivaz

Most events are a gold coin donation to help cover the costs of the Meetup site ($12/ month) and incidentals like signs (so you can find us!) Additional costs are included in the event.
